The Robot Innovation Award in FTC UIL state robotics celebrates teams that demonstrate exceptional creativity and ingenuity in their robot's design. It recognizes "out-of-the-box" thinking, where teams have developed unique and effective solutions to the challenges presented in the competition. This award highlights robots with designs that are both innovative and reliably functional.

The Drum Major is the student who demonstrates exceptional leadership, musicality, and conducting skills. It celebrates a student's ability to effectively communicate musical interpretation and inspire the band to perform at their highest level. In essence, it honors the student who serves as the visual and musical leader of the ensemble.

They recognize bands that achieve a high level of precision and artistry in their marching and musical execution. Essentially, these awards honor the most outstanding and well-rounded marching band performances at the state level.

At UIL State Solo and Ensemble, awards recognize outstanding individual and small ensemble musical performances. They celebrate the mastery of technical skill, musical expression, and overall artistry demonstrated by student musicians.
